I really like this girl at work, the problem is that we're in seperate departments and mine does not deal with her's at all. My colleagues do not know her either.
How could I possibly get her to notice me or try to get to know her(seeing we're in seperate departments)?
What signs would she give in passing(when we pass each other in a corridor/at luch) if she had an interest?
Any advice appreciated....
P.S
We have made eye contact. Today when I looked at her as she passed my desk she ducked her head as she walked past-a good sign?
Also I let her get in the lift before me(was quite packed) and she thanked me - again she ducked her head as she got in. She then smiled at me as the door shut.A good sign?

I think you've had a couple of good signs. Sounds like she is not the forward type that would make a first move. She may even be married. You'll never know till you ask. How about asking her to meet you for lunch? Short meal--time enough to find out if this is something you both want to persue. Go For It!!

Be confident and make a bold move. Just start up a converstation with her. Ask her something about her department or something to get the ball rolling. After you talked to her once. Then just start talking to her a little more often. Like making friends with the new guy in this case girl. Make sure you smile and try not to be nervous. Then the rest should fall into place. Looking good! Send her a small bunch flowers to the office saying that she has a lovely smile and would she like to go out for coffee/drink some time, and if the answers yes would she wear a flower in jumper/blouse/jacket from the flowers sent so that you know. When ordering make a point in asking for them to incude a safely pin.Just a thought mate good luck. By the way if she doesnt wear it don't worry ,as i expect quite a lot of blokes have been looking ,and if you act really cool she won't think its you so you won't lose face

She may just like you. She sounds shy or insecure that you are making eye to eye contact. Ask her name. Start slow. Make small talk with her. Ask what time she goes to lunch and try to see if the two of you can have lunch together. Don't come on too strong..she may just think you are stalker material. Good Luck

yes, I don't think there would be a problem asking her out since she's in a different department. You've got nothing to loose right? I mean theres alot of good positive signs showing she's nice isn't there?

I think they are good signs, next time you meet in the passing, say hello, then the next time, add a bit more chat, then ask her for a coffee after work or something

Speak to her and quit looking at her. That could make her feel weird (all the eye contact). Ask her to dinner or something.

Sounds like she's shy. Are you. If not, ask her for coffee in the works canteen and see how it goes from there. You may be surprised.

go up to her and say "I noticed you noticing me, so I just want to put you on notice that I noticed you too." I know it sounds lame, but trust me she will laugh and it will breaking the ice. 80% of getting a girl is breaking the ice.
