repent. Simple as that. Turn from your old ways and accept Christ to mold you into what he wants you to be. Accept his plan and purpose and have faith in it.

Live a honest life. Be good to yourself and others. Always ask yourself what would Jesus do before you do or say anything that you may regret later. Live by the Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have done unto you.
Love unconditionally (not too many people are capable of this).
It's not hard really, we are all capable of returning to Jesus, it's just most of us don't care.

Follow your heart. And remember, you can love God anyway you want. You can talk to him (he'll be your best friend), you can read the bible (which can make you feel better anyway) and/or find a church or parish you 'd like to attend (check out different ones every week and decide which one you'd LIKE to attend.) And they usually have Church Groups or activities you could get into. One word of advice- this is for YOU so don't let anyone con you into anything! God Bless You!

Go to the beach and look for footprints, apparently they are Jesus' , follow the trail and see if you can find him, he will be carrying someone through hard times.

Just pray and say to Hm that you want to follow Him. Invite the Holy Spirit in your heart. Study His Word, and Holy Spirit will work through you to guide you. Get yourself a church home. Start to worship Him. He will answer to your prayers.
