No-
But make sure your cat has enough food in case he gets the munchies...or watch out if he is hanging over your couch listening to John Lennon...

Catnip is not a drug, so a cat cannot o.d. on it. It does have hallucinogenic-like properties, but nothing that is harmful to your cat. HOWEVER - you should watch your cat anyhow to be sure because just last weekend our 5-month old spent much of the evening limping and panting after we brought home an 8-ft high cat tree that had been chemically sprayed with catnip. Poor Miracle went nuts and really didn't know what she was doing and injured her rear leg slightly in running up and down this tree plus was panting so hard from all the play because she was wound up!
So I do believe that they can lose touch with reality a bit and not realize when it's been too much of a good thing and cause themselves damage through no fault of being overdosed on catnip - just being whacked out of their mind on its hallucinogenic properties.

No, but he could get hurt, depending on how he reacts to catnip. If he reacts by running around at full throttle and not paying attention to his surroundings, he could get hurt by running into something or knocking something over.
My cat once got so stoned on catnip he couldn't walk, but he was fine after he had about a 30-minute nap.

give it as much catnip as it can handle then observe your cat. usually cats can handle alot unless they are really "mentally challenged" then they could but normally a cat will how do you say 'back off' when they have had to much. I tried on all my barns cats and domestic cats and only one got weird cause he actually ate it...so no they really cant

No. Catnip is good for kitties. It certainly gives them a buzz, but its also good for their digestive tracks.

No they will roll in it or eat it and when they have had their fill they will abandon it and get real hyper for awhile and then fall asleep for hours.

No... they can't. It's not a drug. They eat it in the wild to aid their digestion... and can not over dose on it.
