-only when attached to battery

When i attach my mini-cam to a battery, it smokes out of a little hole. The smoke smells funny, and I havent tried to see if still works in fear that the smoke will turn too something worse.

If it is smoking, that is not a good sign at all. Smoke means something is overheating. If it hasn't stopped working yet it will fail soon.

It's probably recieving too many Amps, or the heat sink isn't working properly. The only solution I can think of is that either the battery size is incorrect, or the product is defective. Maybe you might be lucky, and have a fully functional smoking camera.

Smells funny because it's an electrical smoke. You should take it back and exchange it. F.Y.I.--no company that I know if would refund spy equipment, only a possible exchange.
