Your question is a bit limited in terms of what you want to find out ...

A quick search on the War Graves site throws up this Private William Foster of the 1st Bn, The King's Regiment (Liverpool) killed in Burma in May 1944. http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=1292639

Although no birthplace details are given, the regiment would fit with Lancashire. Son of Walter and Matilda Foster if that helps.

That gives you most of the information, incl his service number, you would need to search the National Archives in Kew which will give you his war record etcand more details of service life and death.

There is a good Wikipedia link below for the King's Regiment

Good luck.
