I want to send donated items to our troops as a college activity, the problem is I don't know how to send them, like, where and how? Is there a specific website I can go to to get an adress of a unit? I am hoping to get a lot of stuff, any suggestions. and as always I DO NOT APPRECATE SMART ALLECK answers, if i wanted those I would ask a child.

Good for you, here you go. They'd prefer new items, and snack foods.

www.anysoldier.com will give you all the information you are asking for. It's a non profit organization started by a soldier. They also have premade packages you can order on line. They will ship them for you. Check out the web site. Different troop groups have different wants and needs. You will see when you log on to the site. Be ready to spend some time. I enjoyed reading the information and seeing pictures the troops have posted. God Bless

You can check out different bases and contact the Family readiness group. They would be more than willing to help you. Go to the Fort Stewart web page, and find the link that says FRG. That is how people sent stuff to my unit when i was in. I am out now but my old unit is going back soon.

Take your boxes to the local VA or post office and ask. This is coming from a US soldier who recently returned from Iraq. We all love and thank you for your support.

Anysoldier.com. Just don't send more than five boxes a day to one address. You can send them stuff in USPS flat rate boxes, they're $8.10 no matter what you stuff in them.
