Vitamins and minerals and tonics. And stay hot; our body only has a certain amount of energy. It can use this energy heating us [takes a lot of energy] or it can use it fixing us up. Much better.....

Try this. Brady can be substituted for Whiskey. And you can use honey instead of sugar syrup. Or you can find a number of other recipes by going to Google and plugging in the phrase: hot toddy recipes -- I hope you feel better real soon.
Whiskey Hot Toddy recipe
Scale ingredients to servings
1 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
1/4 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz sugar syrup
1 slice lemon
1 clove
4 oz hot water
Heat in a heat-resistant glass, and fill with hot water. Add a lemon slice speared with a clove, and serve.

I don't know about a magic answer, but I have had the same thing for the last 2 weeks. I feel freakin' miserable.
Things that have helped:
Mucinex
Rest
Cough syrup from Dr.
Chicken soup
Still waiting for the antibiotics I got from the Dr. to help- I ended up getting a sinus infection on top of it.
Hang in there, and I hope you feel better. (Me too)

Take some Nyquil and go to bed. Medicines can only help the symptoms. In order for your body to fight the cold and heal, you need a lot of sleep. Your body does its best work when you are asleep, because you are not using your energy staying awake.
If you sleep all day, so be it. You need the rest. You will feel better fast, I promise.
I hope you feel better soon.

Do you have a bathtub?
Fill it with hot water (get in and start the water at warm, gradually increasing the heat, to where it gets just short of 'too' hot)
Stay in the water for as long as you comfortably can - while adding more hot water as it cools off.
Do this at least 15 min . . .*if you get dizzy? get out)
Put on flannel material, from neck to ankles, and socks.
Get in bed - cover yourself completely with at least a blanket.
Stay there as long as possible.
When you get up?
Congestion should be better . . .
For coughs?
Robitussin DM (2-5 tablespoons at a time) with hot tea
Hope you feel better by tomorrow!!!

Have you tried Vicks Vapor Rub on you, or on a vaporizor? They make wall plug-in things for the stuff too. It reall helps clear your chest and sinuses. Don't rub it too close to your nose- Maybe on your chest/ neck. or on a hot washcloth, over your nose.
