No school will "kick" a pupil out ,
without a good reason.
That is not usually, how things are done in education.

It is usual to give his parents a warning,
about the pupils ,previous bad attendance or conduct ---

-if this behavior continues, then they may well ,consider,
expelling him ,from this school altogether .

There should be something in place,, if this is disputed by the parents;
So they can appeal against the school decision,
If there are mitigating circumstances

Discipline has to be maintained for the benefit of the whole school

On the sad note: many kids in full day full week day care since infancy 'learn' bad behavior while in day care, and this behavior lasts through the school years. FYI many day care teachers have nothing more than a high school diploma and some training class for a few hours. For many kids, day care is survival of the fittest, plus many day cares are also a revolving door of staff. How long has this teacher worked at the center? what training? As for naps, your lil one might not need a nap. But she should have some 'quiet time' on her cot while the other kids are napping. She might be bored in class, and not feel challenged. Or the opposite, she might feel out of place. Both will lead to acting out. It is up to the teacher to #1 identify what set her off, #2, how the staff handled the issue #3 your child's response. Have the day care do this for a week and see what is setting her off. Is the day care have realistic rules? does the class have rules at all that the kids know and understand? this will help guide you to a better question of dealing with her behavior. Next thing, please please get that TV out of the bedroom. TV should not be in a room of rest. She can shut herself away and not communicate, which will lead to trouble at school.

I really don't think they can kick your friend out for truancy but, if they did your friend has some options. First, get in touch with the news station and see if the can verify what was said. Also, most schools are required to have a kind of conference between students, parents, and faculty regarding such decisions. If that has not happened, get in touch with the board of ed and demand a hearing. I went through a similar situation so good luck.

Yes they can, unless there's a medical excuse. At least in Indiana.
After missing 10 days in a row, there's a question. Did they quit? Did they move, Are they sick? If illness is the reason, the school is usually ntoified.

Yes, if there is an attendance policy in place that the district has made students and parents aware of. If your child was kicked out of school they have to offer him an alternative school to attend. They can not just kick children out of school w/o giving them some kind of a plan.

It's called the truency law. Too many kids are taking time out and parents are letting them. So, the parents and the kids are all responsible. If this happens a second time the parents will be sent to social services and the results end up in court....
Learn, education is important, not a joke!

They can but I would have her/him get a letter from the local news station stating that they had told people that the school was closed. It's kinda a unique situation and I think the principle should make an exception if the child can ketch up on the school work!!

he missed TEN days in a row, because he heard on the news there was no school? That's a pretty weak excuse. And yes, they can kick him out.

Because the news station said???? What reason did they give, no school is going to just close.....Why wasn't your friends parents ringing to see what what going on, must not care about their child's schooling too much, if my kids school was not open I would be demanding to know why.
I'm sorry, must be more to this story.

No you can't get kicked out of school. Here in Texas, if you miss 10 days of school, {unexcused} you will get a warning from the school about the missed days. But to kick a person out of school they can't do that, your friend might want to go and talk to the superintendent, or,your friend should have called the school just to find out if they had school.
