I started when I was thirteen and I would recommend if you haven't become addicted dont start. Its a dirty, expensive, almost becoming illegal no matter what age you are habit.
Quit while your ahead.

Well I was smoking since I was 16, I just got them from my friends that were old enough to get cigarettes. A lot of the places wouldn't even check IDs, and I didn't look old for my age.
When kids ask me to buy them cigarettes I usually say no, just because I think it's stupid to buy things for strangers like that. If I'm feeling nice or the kids are cool though I might.

Teenagers are legally allowed to buy cigarettes in most states at age 16. And most of them are generous about providing their cigarettes to their friends who are not yet of age. They can also try using fake IDs, but stores are required to examine the ID and face heavy fines if they sell to underage smokers.

Order them over the Internet from over seas vendors. Very easy and actually cheaper than buying in a store.
I only say this to point out a glaring hole in our tobacco prohibition laws, not to contribute to the delinquency of minors.

I used to sit outside the gas station and ask people who were goin in to buy me a pack.....it would usually take about 5 or 6 people before I found someone who would actually buy them for me.....usually a mexican I would just buy them a tall boy for buying my smokes

You have to be 18 and have an Id to show your Birthdate.If someone gives you cig without showing id and you are under age the person who sold them to you will get into Big Trouble.

I would imagine they get them from friends who are old enough get them legally, and willing to give or bootleg them to the younger teens. That or they steal them from various places.

I guess from your relatives who smoke or friends who are 18 and older. By the way, you wouldn't want to start, it's hard to stop!
