Do you need prescriptions to get sleeping pills from the pharmacy?
Which type would be most effective?
And how many would get you killed?

I need to get sleeping pills for a frd of mine whos lack of sleep is making him angry and violent. But I want to ensure that I buy the right type and the right quantity so he can't harm himself with it.
Thanks!

Try just plain benadryl. It is the same ingredient in most sleep aids. I take 3 at a time, when i accidently eat seafood or get stung by a bee (before I use my epipen). It makes me VERY tired, but that is it, It is more than the recommended dose, but it won't kill you. I would NOT take it more than once a day at the most though. Ask at your pharmacy, they will know.

If benadryl doesn't work, try getting them to see a doctor.

I hope that his anger and violence has not hurt you, if so, get him some help...FAST

If you have to ask a question like that then you or your friend do not need to have sleeping pills. The fact that you are worried should be your first clue that something is really wrong.

You or your friend don't need to overdose on medication. What I have seen happen in the emergency room is that people try to commit suicide but end up messing that up and screwing themselves up permanently to where they are messed up for life. Instead of giving your friend sleeping pills, support your friend by getting them some therapy and offering some ideas on how to get to sleep without medication.

Suggest to your friend that they can try soaking in a hot bath right before bed which relaxes you. Also suggest a cup of hot tea, it's yummy and relaxing. You can also get them some meditation cds or just some relaxing music. And if they need to drown out outside noises suggest to them that they use ear plugs. But you need to get help for your friend or for you if this is actually about you.

i'd be very careful at the same time as blending any drugs mutually except you communicate over with a doctor or do careful diligent analyze on the chemical substances in contact. different drugs have chemical substances which couldn't blend nicely mutually. you may chance fatality from overdose of a chemical that's utilized in additional desirable than between the drugs. you may also advance # of uncomfortable aspect effects and do your self a significant disservice. do not DO IT, search for suggestion from physician

He dont need sleeping pills. He need to go to doc for insomnia problems and try to see if there are other ways to fix his problem. Other then that dont get to jail by tryin to kill your friend. If your friend is so concern abotu his lack of sleep, let him take care of himself and let him get his pills and take his pills himself. Dont get involved. You already sounds fishy with your story like you planning on revenging on somebody.

Don't get any pills for him. He needs to go to the doc. If you get him the wrong kind and he tries to OD, chances are he won't succeed in killing himself, but he can get liver damage that is SO terrible you wish you had died. I see this alot at work.

Nothing is safe unless prescribed by a doctor as people react differently to drugs and the doctor needs to consult his medical records

1. You cannot buy them for a friend.
2. You are not the saviour of the world nor of your friend.
3. If your friend wants to get to sleep with artificial aid then it is up to him/her to go to the doctor and get the tablets NOT you.
4. Give this one a miss. You will do more damage than good.

Serequil is a very potent sleeping pill. that will definitly get him the sleep he needs...and probably more, and Ambien works good too. Ambien CR is for people who dont have to get up early for work so they can sleep in, its the same company, just a different pill. both are prescription, so you would have to go see the doc. good luck.
