It's the male that determines the sex of the child, so it only matters what your fathers had... if both of your fathers only had children with your mothers then there's a good chance you'll have a boy, but you might have a girl too.

You have a 50/50 chance of having a girl each time you get pregnant. Just because the dice fell one way for your mother in law doesn't mean anything for you.
If I flip a coin a hundred times and get heads every time, the next time I flip the coin there will still be a 50/50 chance it will come up heads. In statistics this is called independence. Past trials have no bearing on future trials.
If you really want to have a girl, talk to your doctor. Gender is determined by whether the sperm that fertilizes the egg has an X or Y chromosome. The doctor can put you husbands semen in a centrifuge and separate out the two different types of sperm, increasing your chances of having either a boy or a girl, depending on what you want.

Of course...my mom had 3 boys and 2 girls, my husbands mother had one of each... I have 3 boys though :) So it all depends on the father and the sperm...I hear you have a better chance of conceiving a girl if you have sex a couple days before ovulation though. I've been doing a lot of research on it since I am blessed with three beautiful boys but would also like to be blessed with a baby girl. Good Luck!

Even tho it is the father who determines the sex of the child, there is still a chance you could have a girl. My husband's side of the family all have boys and my side of the family have both. We ended up with one of each and another boy on the way. Good Luck!

That's what they say that the man's side determines the sex but I have not found that to be true in anyone I know. Even myself. My husband's family is all boys and we had 2 girls. Yes, it could be a girl. Good luck.

eat lots of dairy that,s how to make a girl, protein makes boys. but often if there is too many boys in a family yes the odds are for a boy to come, unless you have too many girls in your family then it,s a gamble.
