My husband and I are sick and tired of this bad *** kid in our neighborhood. We have lived in a gated apt complex for 1 yr 1/2 have an issue with a paticular bad *** kid! About 7 or 8 mo's ago we caught him sticking his hand inside one of our cars trying to take something, my husband went to his dad and he was disciplined. After that we kept finding stuff on our cars. White out on our SAAB, tape on our keyholes and bricks under our tires! (BAD *** KID) But since we never saw the kid do it, we could not blame him. Yesterday it snowed and my husband caught the boy throwing snow onto out cars. So he went outside and yelled at him. His mother was near by and apoloigzed, yelled at her son and made him apoligze. Now she wants to file a complaint against my busband for yelling at him>???? What would you have done in this situation? My husband said that he wanted to scare him ,so that he would stop what he has been doing.

You guys should go straite to the complaint office and tell them whats going on. THATS VANDELISM. Whats the mom gonna put in her complaint........."my son was throwing snow at this guys car so the guy yelled at my son?" yeah..........lol

You should give the parents a warning, say we have put up with his horrible and UNACCEPTABLE behavior and if your son so much as touches our car again will file a police report not just with the complaint office. Then he can be brought on charges of vandelism.

I would have done the same thing. Why is the mother filing a complaint when she herself yelled at her son and made him apologize.Throwing snow is a natural thing for all kids to do.But,there is a line which should not be crossed, and that line is,you do not throw anything at other peoples property. If this kid has been so unruly in the past, how was your husband to know that in a snowball, there could have been a stone. The best thing to do is to keep away from this family all together. Then log everything that happens, keep a record, then give it to someone in authority. Also if there are others on your neighborhood that are being affected by this, get to gether and all keep separate logs. The more evidence you can gather the better.

Beat her to the punch and file a complaint against her little brat with BOTH your complex AND the police! You can also state that if you vehicles are EVER touched again, you will call the police and have him arrested and bill them for damages. Throw some fear into the mom (and dad) - bet they will put a tighter leash on him. If you can, put up cameras -- maybe inside of your car.

I would have been furious as well. I would have had the police come out and talk to him and his parents. This is vandalism. That's against the law. When you say that the mother wants to file a complaint do you mean with the police? If so, I doubt seriously that they'll do anything. In fact, if the police do happen to come out to your house tell them what the boy has been doing. Then they will know, and if it happens again there is proof of it.

What this kid is doing is called vandalism - and it's a crime. Next time, call the police and file a report. Chances are, since he's a kid, it'll be a slap on the wrist, but if more and more complaints are lodged, eventually, something will have to be done!

Trying catching the little bastard in the act with a camcorder!!! Also you should call the police, make a report every time there is damage, tell the parents of the little juvenile delinquet that you are going to sue them for all the costs of damages the little jerk does. Another good idea might be to hire the local school bully to beat the crap out of him!!!

Since it's obviously a kid in the community you could have been reporting to the manager all along and made it his job to find the problem causer. State your dilemma to him let him sort it out and follow the excellent advice about the camera because you can bet the little snot will try to get some revenge.

I would beat the crap out of the kid....No body touches my vehicles!

Get two small but very nice security cameras and set them up on each corner of the house where you can CLEARY see the car from all angles and just wait for this PUNK!! Your not in the wrong, was he on your property while throwing the snowballs? If so then you could actually charge him with trespassing!! Get him on tape, it will hold up better! Good luck!!

Get a video tape and secretly set it up. Keep it all at all times you're not near the car. Catch him on tape then file a police report for vandalism.
