jesus was a jew.

Christianity was created after he died.

The irony of the whole thing is that if jesus was alive today, he would not be a christian.

Jesus, He sent his disciples to all the world (Mat. 28). Paul went to the gentiles mostly, and Peter mostly to the Jews (Gal. 2:8).

In fact, there ARE references about Jesus from other historians of the time, most notably, Josephus.

Only Hebrews is sometimes attributed to Paul, but it is probably (and has been known for a long time, it is not a secret) that maybe he was not his author. Many Christian writers say, then, "the author of Hebrews" instead of Paul, when referring to its authorship. That is no problem regarding the inspiration of the book, just the authorship.

There is no gnostic teaching in Paul. On the contrary, we see some of his writings against the incipient gnosticism. That is the reason he himself declared: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Gal. 1:8

The Church has, in fact, existed from the moment mankind was placed on this planet... however... "The Church" as it is commonly known today came about due to the rejection of Jesus by The Jews. On the Day of Petacost following Jesus' assention to Heaven He came as The Holy Spirit and gave his Apostles the final authority to go out into the world and give His teaching, The Salvation Message, to the entire world. Befor this only by becomeing of The Nation of Israel could one participate in the rites that got one into Heaven... Now, since that day of Pentacost, all mey come to God as He prescribes and receive His free gift of Salvation. It is no longer necissary to become a jew to get to Heaven. In fact, now even The Jews must come to God in The Way as well. I f they hope to get to Heaven.

This is from God's Word to me in the instant of my Salvation. As you are not of The Christian Faith, otherwise you would never have made such a question, you need not be concerned about it all. There is nothing for you in The Bible of The True Christian Faith. And you are not bound by it. So there is no reason for you to read it. But The Bible of The True Christian Faith dose support what God has given me. And which he gives every one of The True Christian Faith. That is the assurance of our Salvation as ones of The Body of The Church.

Paul did not begin his ministry, under the direct authority of Jesus The Christ, untill several years after The Chruch was instituted by Jesus through the original Apostles. Paul was the last Apostle.

Jesus was a Jew and went to the temple. He never said the word church once. Does that answer your question? Biblical scholars tend to see Paul as having promoted the concept of the church based on the teachings of Christ. There are few books in the New Testament that Paul did not author. You need a reference for that?

What is madonelle talking about? she or her source are contradicting the Bible, as well as the dead sea scrolls!!!

Jesus Traveled through-out Galilee, Judea, east of the Jordan and Jerusalem, he never stayed in one place, remember how the crowds followed him!

The founder of the Christian congregation is Jesus Christ. Here are two easy scriptures: 1 Cor. 11:3 and Eph. 5:23; showing that he is the head of the congregation.

The Romans were well known for assimilating anything that they could not beat militarily. They recognized that Christianity had grown so large that they could not possibly stamp it out.

So they did the same thing that they always did when they found themselves in this position. Paul was roman, one of the first roman undercover agents if you will to gain prominence in the Christian hierarchy. His job was to subvert the faith correct the teachings so they were more palatable to roman tastes and take over and control as much of the leadership as possible. His cover story about being blinded and thrown from his horse was designed to play right into the Christian idea of a forceful Jesus that was the defender of the faith.

He was accepted by most of the Christian world and eventually trumped Peters wishes on many issues. Apparently everyone thought that Jesus had made a mistake in selecting Peter to take care of running the faith because Paul was and is still taken quite seriously.

Christianity is barely recognizable today if you compare it to what Jesus actually taught. If you read closely you can still see occasional glimpses of Jesus’ teaching in and among the nonsense that was overlaid on it by Paul and others. The roman conquest of Christianity took quite some time, but was completed in the 4th century around the time of the council of Nicea when the current bible was compiled.

Constantine also had one of these miraculous encounters with Jesus that lead to his conversion, but oddly continued to worship roman gods in private right up to his death. In public of course he was a true Christian.

The new faith that replaced the one Jesus entrusted peter with was called the universal, or Catholic Church. It is better known as the Roman Catholic Church. I guess you could call that a hint.

A truly brilliant plan actually. Made possible by the efforts of a roman double agent named Paul who called himself an apostle, but never actually met Jesus. For his loyalty and meritorious service he was later killed to cover up the truth.

God the Father is the one who made the decision to send Jesus Christ to Earth in the first place. Paul came way later - after Christ was crucified, so why would you think it was Paul?
Besides, it was Peter who was to be the founder of the Church, not Paul.

Read the book of Acts. The Holy Spirit is the founder. Others do His bidding. Since Jesus the Christ, the Holy Spirit and The Father are ONE, I guess you could say it was Jesus. Through the apostles. YBIC

Technically I would have to say the Holy Spirit and those in the upper room on Pentecost (Acts 2). Then the Jews visiting Jerusalem that day. When Paul went out-he found churches already established from this group.

According to the Bible - Hebrews 12:2, it is Jesus who is the "author" (or founder) of our faith.
