Yes you should wait until the hangover's gone, and no it's not wrong to call. Your wife and you are a two-person team, and you're supposed to tackle things together. True, she should've been there drinking and gambling WITH you, but that's neither here nor there. If you're stuck in a predicament and you can't turn to your spouse, who CAN you turn to?

I'd wait for the hangover to subside. Be prepared to hear about this one for years to come. I'd use the I was abducted by aliens and taken out to the desert, anally probed and dropped off at Circus Circus. No one goes to Circus Circus of their own volition.
