what is a pci simple communication controller and where can I get drivers for it?

The OS should install the necessary drivers.
Perhaps check the web for your motherboard manufacturer.
They might have the drivers.

It is probaby your network card (does your motherboard have 2 connections) or a network/modem card on a pci card, which can not be installed with extra drivers. Try install it automatically if that doesn't work, use the driver cd that came with your motherboard or download the drivers from the motherboard's manufactorer's website. Or find the cd that came with the pci card or download the drivers for that card on the manufactorer's website.
