I have only done 2 hours. Eh. I'd like to know WHAT I can do that doesn't require long hours/extreme work. I need to find a service in Queens. Please give me certain programs and websites.

Really this is not as hard as it looks. Visits to senior citizens= Do you know of any seniors in your neighborhood who live alone and could use someone to visit them for a couple of hours a week?
Do you like to paint? Spend some hours painting public schools.
Help with food drives, help with clothing drives.
Tutor a child who is having a hard time learning to read. All this adds up. There are said to be hundreds of things like this in Queens.
Your 8th grade teacher is supposed to put you in touch with some of these service learning projects. But check in with your parents also to find out if the places you are going to are safe.
The senior citizens visits are nice. Most of them just want someone to talk to. Good Luck

WHA?? well I know a boy who is working at a after school care center practically babysitting younger kids for about 3 hours, as community service. Maybe there is something like that in Queens.

You can not work long hours, you can only work several hours a day at most at your age during the school year. Volunteer at local churches, senior centers, food pantries, YMCAs etc.

Tell your parents to write a note that explains to the school how Community Service is against your religion.
