ok with the claim that god is all powerful, meaning he can do anything.

(keep in mind god is loving and merciful)
if he can indeed do anything, then why, throughout the old testament, in instances where god could spare lives by doing a hundred of other options, did he instead decide to kill people?

example: god parts the red sea for moses, but encaves it in on their pursuers. instead why didnt god make a mile high wall seperating them? thus sparing the lives of moses's persuers and rescuing moses. what about the other hundreds of instances were he can spare life but decides to use bloodshed instead?

The old testament demonstrations of judgment and mercy were for the express purpose of serving as examples for all who come after wards. Besides the actual events there is also much symbolism here which will mean absolutely nothing to an unbeliever. What is the difference if He didn't spare some. Does this make Him unjust? Does it mean He couldn't possibly exist?

Because it makes for a better story. It's the same reason that Superman is allergic to kryptonite. The Bible wouldn't have gotten so many converts if it just said, "God made everything the way he wanted it, and all was good. The end".

No, God's mercy extends to His believers and nonbelievers just the same. God was merciful to Pharoah and granted him many opportunities to do what was right and fair. Pharoah rejected God.

You have two choices either let the children of Israel make it to the other side, to be free of bondage or allow Pharoah to be on their heels to reenslave them?

God made a choice and I am sure the children of Israel are grateful for the decision he made.

Yes his mercy is only for his children, all other will just have to go to hell. it just not fair but unfortunately that just the kind of God he is, did you know how many children were probably killed in the flood, what did they do wrong?

that's why he sent us jesus to die for us and he gives you the chance every day to repent and follow him. but you have to repent and take him as your savior. the devil sends his people here to this web address to try to confuse as many christians as he can, think about it if you do believe and are wrong what harm has been done, and if you don't believe and are wrong then what harm has been done, not only have you condemned yourself to hell but you have convinced others to go with you. if you do not believe then you should keep it to yourself or find a website for non believers and not a religious one.

god is not omnipotent.

Can god create a rock he cannot lift?

If he can, then he can't lift the rock, making him not omnipotent. If he can't create one then he is not omnipotent.
