After graduating from college. If one chooses not to go to college, after graduation from high school. By then they are an adult and it's time they started to take on the responsibilities of an adult. My parents made it clear to me when they expected me to move out and taught me how to budget, save, and run a household by then. I was prepared and have been independent ever since.

I don't think ther should be a set age. Everyone's circumstances are different, but I think as soon as you have the means to support yourself, you should probably get your own place.

I finally moved out midway through college, when I was 22. Then I moved back home at 25 while I was finishing my teaching certification, because it was convenient, location-wise, and I helped pay some of the household expenses. Then at 27 when I got an actual teaching job I moved away again.

If they are not attending college I think 20 is a good age. It gives them a couple of years to save up some money for their own place. If they ARE going to a local college when they graduate and can save for a year or two then move out. By age 25 at the latest.

One shuld move out when they are ready. I think that the minimum age is 18, but many people are now moving out and moving back in. I think that a person should move out when they are mentally and financialy ready to do so. I would say the maximum age to move out should be around 30 because by the time you are that age you should have an idea of what you are doing with your life., and no one should live with their parents forever

It depends on the person and their relationship with their parents, I know some people that moved out before 18 because of abusive relationships with parents. I lived at home until after college, I get along great with my parents. They did not prey into my private affairs, our relationship is based on mutual respect. No mater how good or bad you might have it at home, I think once you are out of college or are able to financially support yourself it is time to leave the nest. It's all a part of growing up and becoming an adult.

Move out as soon as possible. As close to the end of high school (age 18) as possible. You might have some tight times at first, and might even need money from mom and dad. But that's a lot better than being 30 and still living at home. The longer you wait the tougher it gets because people get into a routine, just make sure your routine is productive.

When ever you are ready and most important part when you have the money.

Most kids nowadays move out right after highschool because they go to college and live in dorms. However, if you do not dorm and live with u r parents and go to college and work at the same time, you will be saving big bucks and u will be able to have a nice shack by 21.

I'm hoping by the time they are 22 or 23. Much past that I don't think I can handle. On the other hand if they're calling every other day to borrow $$$ they shouldn't have moved in the first place.

If they do not go to college, they should get a job and move out as soon as they can (right after high school). For those who go to college, they should be able to technically live at home until right after they graduate.

Normally a kid moves out after they finish school. Whether it be high school or college. They need to set out on their own as soon as they can support themselves. Nobody has everything they need. Most everyone will struggle to pay bills until the build up their savings.
