If he can demonstrate a bad mood on the job what about other places?
You know at home, in a car, and other places you can think about.
Who is a person to show their anger? but self centered or self righteous and on. Things happen, should not get angry.
Better luck with a funny guy, I read ladies like guys with humour not anger. Who wants to negotiate moods?
Perhaps I read too much into your question, sorry for that. Having a high workload is no excuse for being moody. Many people work hard. It does not matter if he likes you, you dont deserve moody angry person. I think you should let him know you don't like to deal with his anger or do not wish to have to deal with a person who has an angry temperament. Tell him he has no right to be, seek anger manganement program. Best thing let him off kindly, don't enter into a relationship.
Good Luck

I'm not a guy, but when I have a high workload day that's putting me in a bad mood, I'd much rather that other co-workers (regardless of my feelings for them), just give me the space I need to finish my tasks and have some room to think. I think that's all anyone would ask for. So just give him room for today, I'm sure he'll be his jolly, usual self when things lighten up.

Just be very nice to him. I know when I am having a bad day it helps for someone to show me kindness. I always remember them for it. If he likes you that might earn you brownie points.
(Then again some men get defensive because it makes them feel less of a man if they let themselves get softened up)
Keep that in consideration but if I were you I would try the good deed approach, and if it seeems to work, you should do it every time he has a lot of stress. I know I sure wish I had a girl that would do that for me when my day sucks.

Based on experience the best thing to do is give him space and let him get over whatever it is that has him ticked off.
Something simple like, "I'm gonna get a coke, do you need anything?" lets him know you are around, and when he gets over it he will come around.
(no Im not a guy but I have dealt with this before LOL)

I would do abosolutely nothing. If a guy is overloaded with work, just let him work on it and it'll get done. Is it the same work you do? Maybe you can offer to take some of the work load off of his hands. Good luck with it! I like your avatar btw!

Don't mix work with romance. Maybe he needs some alone time, and not to be handled.

Ask him if he would like to go to lunch with you. And if you go, dont bring up the subject, just talk about normal things and casualy ask whats wrong. If he doesnt want to talk than let it be.
