You will need full Acrobat. The program will install a "distiller" which will be shown under your print options.

Open the Excel file, choose file, print, acrobat distiller. It will bring up a box with which you can name your file and save in pdf format.

Without the full version of acrobat, you can't do this.

Log on to www.adobe.com and look on the left side of the screen. Scroll down if necessary until you see the Create Adobe PDF file button. Click this button. Adobe supports Excel documents. You can do this five times for free. After that, it costs you $9.99 per month, which is cheap only if you have a lot of documents to convert.

File away!

You have to have a full version of Adobe that includes a PDF writer. If you have that, open the Adobe application and then simply open the .xls file with it. Adobe will convert the .xls to a PDF.

Here's two options if you don't have the full Adobe program:
1) You can do it on-line at Adobe's website.
2) Print the .xls document and then scan it and save it as .pdf with the scanner software.

You need PDF writing software. There are a number of free versions available for download on the internet. Search for PDF Makers in your browser. Adobe is just one version of the software. Scansoft also make a lower cost version of a PDF making software if you want a cheaper alternative; or the freebies don't accomplish the task.

You need to "print" it with a PDF Writer. Adobe Acrobat is very expensive, but there are free PDF writers available on the internet that do pretty much the same thing. Try:

I know there are smaller programs out there that do it, but i'm not sure how much they cost. What I use is OpenOffice.org. It's an entire office suite and you can save any file (if I recall correctly) as a pdf file. This includes word and excel. It's free, so the price can't be beat!

all you need is Adobe Acrobat. when you install this it installs "distiller" which is the "driver" that actually allows you to save as PDF, or rather converts it to PDF

If you have both softwares, you just do a "save as" and change the end tag ..... after you do Save As at the bottom of the pop up window it WILL ask you: FORMAT. Just save it as a pdf. It's really easy!

I think you'll need the full version of Adobe Acrobat to do that.
It has plug-ins for Microsoft Office to perform such actions.
