Get a iron test and a iron saturation test(your total iron stores in your body). Even if the blood test comes back and shows that you have low iron, DO NOT start taking iron on your own right away. The reason is that if you start taking iron, the specialist that the doctor sends you to will not be able to tell why your iron is low. Let them run blood tests for things like autoimmune diseases and check you for ulcers. Then, when they have finished all their tests, then take iron supplement only if your doctor tells you. And then you will want to get your iron up quickly and he will tell you the best way, usually, iron sulphate pills. These pills are poisonous to children.

Yes you can but if the problem isn't that your not getting enough iron in your diet then there probably is an underlying problem like excessive bleeding during your period or maybe something more serious. you should see a D.r.just to be on the safe side.

Anemia is not necessarily a disease by itself - it can be a symptom of another disease. Get yourself checked by a doctor.

Unless you've recently hit your head, then I would say it's not anemia and could be related to something else. You might wont to consult your doctor.

It is possible. Get a multivitamin with iron and see if it helps. If not call your doctor!
