What should I do? For years, I've been switching from a new product key to product key. I really don't know what I'm doing on the computer and how to fix them accept logging on the internet I'm 21 by the way, please I want Windows Media 11 so bad because it's so much more advance and better, I wanna watch movies and cable TV on it. Everytime I try to download 11, they say I've been convicted of counterfeiting and the geniune validation never goes through and they say I need to buy a Geniune Advantage Key online and a copy of Windows XP CD but I don't wanna do that, I want to download it so I can download Windows Media Player 11. Please tell me the instructions on how to download Windows Media Player 11 and help me get out of this mess. Please!? My product key if you want to know is 88JTM

you cant get wmp 11 without a genuine copy of windows xp im afraid so you should look at some of the other media players that are free online. unless you buy a legit copy of xp its a no go im afraid, sorry old chap

don;t lose any sleep over not being able to DL it. WMP 11 is not all that good. i personally like WMP 9. 9 didn;t track what you watch, what you listen to,etc. and send it away tom microsoft after every song!!!! yes it does "call home" a lot. as for the product key, idk. did u buy a real version of windows. that verification is for windows itself, not the media player, and the 88jtm is not long enough for a windopws key.and idk how you were planning on watching cable on your computer unless you have an all-in-wonder graphics card (in which caes it comes with better software anyway), or have some other kind of TV tuner installed (could be a PCI cad, of a USB device)
save the trouble of dealing with a microsoft product. try to find a copy of creative media source player (usually only available if you bought a creative product like a mp3 player or a sound card, or get winamp, or something similar)

You can use this solution here. Download the XP permanent patcher kit, it generates a key for you and it can change your product key so that you can activate it, you can download it here. Use its instructions in the .zip.
