None of the options given. Care- giving should be a mutually beneficial and satisfying experience for both the grand parents and the parents. Convenience is a relative term, in the sense that anybody can make a certain situation convenient or make it look like the most irritating thing, depending on their interest and love for that particular situation. So Grand parents may voluntarily make the situation convenient for taking care of there grandchildren when it is necessary or convenient for their children .May be they don't . Any way it is right as long as the grandparents and parents understand each others point of view.

It should always be at the grandparents convenience in my opinion. The only exception would be in case of an emergency.
It is so sad to see how many grandparents are raising their grandchildren. It is the children who loose!
The parents have a God given responsibility to raise their children and grandparents cannot replace what parents have to offer any more than parents can fill the shoes of grandparents!

Grandparents should only watch children at their convenience of course. Don't watch the children if it isn't a good time for you.

well, I would think a little of both. It's not always going to be convenient, so the grandparents have to speak up, and likewise, a child should never take for granted that they can just dump their kid off at their parents house whenever they feel like it.

Why not compromise? There may be a time when the parents are in a bind for a babysitter just like there will be times when the grandparents may not feel up to babysitting.

The GRANDPARENTS didn't have the children. GRANDPARENTS should only watch the children at their CONVENIENCE. If at ALL.

At their convenience. They are not built in baby-sitters, they may sit for the parents at the parents request occasionally as a favor, but they are not obligated to.
