you know how many people die in the selection of SAS/SBS ? loads. You know the fail rate of selection ? 95% out of 400 people will fail every year or some of them will not even make it back alive . I'm not talking about your average boy scouts here either ,the candidates are hardened vetrans from the UK forces that have at least 4 years of active duty service under their belt. These men ,if you can call them that (because they are above human standards to the point it's just unreal.) are the worlds finest killing machines once chosen . They are literally a one man walking army . You know what would happen if you decided to give up ? they would send you home and tell you to **** off and stop wasting their time .I'm not giving a bias opinion here , these men are the most relentless and hardcore special force on the face of the earth. Heres a story I found amazing about the SAS . Before a really important airbase was taken by the americans in afghan the sas were sent in with a 4 man patrol ,were outnumbered by nearly 8-900 men ,they killed 400 of them and the rest high tailed it out of there. THAT is what these guys do. 4 men took out 400 insurgents. The best description I can give these guys are 'modern day spartans', I literally cannot think of a better term for them. They are on the forefront of the special forces world and even advise other countries special forces (USA,Russia,Israeli,Germany, austrailia ect). The mind set you must posses is sickening . you must be unbreakable ,elite and mentally gifted as well as psychically. These men go above and beyond their call of duty time and time again ,until the job is done . and if it is not they will damn well give their last breath doing so.

The SAS without a doubt. They are trained to fight in any circumstance at any time. They are also highly capable of naval assaults and amphibious landings aswell as airborne assaults and landings. They are unquestionably the best special forces unit on earth, that includes Delta Force and the US navy seals. Also the SBS are better than both aswell. If theres a situation and no body else is up to the job the SAS are the ones who are called every time.

The US Navy Seals are good but not as good as the SAS

The Special Air Service Regiment don't really feature in this question as the question should be: Which special forces is better the SBS or the US Navy Seals?
And my answer Special Boat Squadron after all they trained the forefathers of the Navy Seals...

Not wishing to get into a no win situation; just a point to ponder: have the SAS been used to train the SEALS or have the SEALS been used to train the SAS? It's not the kit, it's the person and we all learn from the best available.

Depends on where you live.
The Americans will say the Seals, the Brits will say the SAS.
From my time in the services, the Seals do what they are told; the SAS have to think for themselves.
If this sounds prejudice, it's not meant to be.

Has to be the SAS remember the first gulf war stormin normon didnt want to use special forces because he didnt trust them after his experiance with them in vietnam but he changed his mind after seeing the sas in action so much so he visited the sas headquarters after the war and thanked them personally

The SAS without a doubt, they are the worlds premier fighting force. My dad was in the UN, and he said that an American General told him that our SAS could get into the white house and kill the president, and get out again before they even noticed. Don't know if they are THAT good, but that's coming from a high up American, so they must have a good rep!

The SAS because they're the ORIGINAL & BEST special forces unit that all the others around the world are modelled on.

The funny thing is that these people answering one way or the other know nothing about either except for what they see on television.

I honestly don't think you can say one is better than the other. They both spend all their time training or conducting missions. Even when they are training they train together once in a while to show each other different things, so when one group learns or develops something new the other group learns it too.
