I believe that if that was James' dying wish then people should respect it. BUT being honest with yourself everyone knows that she shouldn't have gotten married if she was already married. That was kind of dumb becuase she should've known that she would have to face problems later on in life.

Honestly, if she and the child they supposedly share together were meant to be taken care of, he would have made the changes to his will a long time ago. The kid is 5 years old. He obviously had doubts about his paternity otherwise he would have been provided for and included in the will. There is a very simple solution for this: have a paternity test and if he's a Brown, the child should be considered one of his living children and the will should be amended to include him. As far as Tomi she's S.O.L! They didn't get legally remarried after her annulment to someone else which nullified her marriage in the first place. She's not entitled to anything whether they lived together or not. He obviously didn't think past the 6 children he considered his heirs. Put it on paper next time darling!

Well it's obvious tht they had a love hate relationship. but never the less I don't think the man would intentionally leave out his youngest child. I cannot imagine why he never updated his will, I find that very curious if he intentionally left them out he should have addressed that in his will that he did not intend to give them anything. Wouldn't it be stange if penned another will after his "marriage" and it just got convieniently lost. It doesn't make sense that he has a five year old child and in all the five yeas he has lived, Mr. Brown never updated his will to include him.

by law, the fact that her divorce was not final in most states is reason for annulment. she brought this on herself. i think it was a bad idea. domestic partner or not the law is the law and James Brown made little or no provisions for her in his will.i hope all the people that have "domestic partnerships"or are "shacked up" take notes on this situation.just get the marriage license it will save you a bunch of heartache.

Let this be a lesson to all: Remember to always put it in writing and update it on a regular basis. When all is said and done, the bottom line is "where is it written?" That's what'll hold in a court of law regardless of what we may think.
We all think tomorrow will come. What if it doesn't?

Didn't he cut her out the will himself? I'm not defending what was done to her, but it seems James Brown had some issues himself with her.

What was wrong was that James didn't update his will after they got married. None of this would be happening if he would have put in his will.
