I got a new credit card. I enter my banking account information online into their system. I start making payments online through their system. I'm getting "Return Check Fees". I think, "That's odd, I could have sworn I had the money in the bank." I get a second "Return Check Fee" when I KNOW I had money in the bank.

I finally realize out I had mis-entered my banking information! Now, I've got 2 return check fees, 2 late fees and 1 over the limit fee because they never got ANY of my payments. I finally pay the balance off in full but the 2nd Return Check Fee hit after I paid everything off and now I have a balance of $35. I called them and talked to them for 45 minutes but they wouldn't reverse ANY of the fees.

I explained to them the situation and hoped they would act in good faith and reverse just one the fees so I could have a $0 balance and close the account. They NEVER made an effort to check my bank information or contact me nor did I have to enter it twice to confirm

write a letter to the better business bureau, and the state attorney general (where the card was issued from), mail a duplicate copy to the credit card company......the bbb or the attorney general will speak for you and might reverse the charge.

Oops sorry dude you messed up, guess that this is an expensive lesson to double check the information YOU enter into a computer is the correct information. The Credit Card company never got paid, and the checks you sent them were not honored so you are liable for any punitive damages you agreed to by signing the contract and agreeing to their Terms of Service (oh and you probably have a higher rate now if you do decide to keep the card, and a good chance on you credit report)

This is a key reason NOT to use on-line bill pay unless through YOUR bank and you have verified ALL THE INFORMATION is correct.

I would file a complaint with state attorney generals office against these clip artists...

also contest any credit bureau report info that may show up on your credit history....

check with better business bureau also to see if this company has problems..

Lets' see, you entered the wrong information and now you are trying to blame the credit card company for your mistake.

Hope you learn from this. It's your responsibility to make sure the information you enter is correct not theirs.
