for my aftercare I use an aftercare pierce solution (the the pierce shop supplied for me) and i do one sea salt soak a day for 15 minutes (warm distilled water and sea salt)
i recently bought H20cean.. i was planning on using that about 4 times a day and doing a sea salt soak at the end of the night (for 15 minutes) to drain the piercing...
i got my rook pierced a few days ago and am wondering if this would be overcleaning it?? 4 times a day wiht H20cean and a sea salt soak (and NOT using the aftercare pierce solution anymore..)

i know how to clean piercings. i have 9... but this is my first time using h20cean.. which is basically a sea salt spray....on the bottle it says to use 3 to 6 times a day...
would would it be safe to use it 3 times a day plus 1 sea salt soak at the end of the nigt?? or would that be overdoing it... i know over cleanign a new piercing can make it irritatd and such...

Don't move it around too much. If you want to add a cleanig product do that two times a day and the soak at the end of the day to drain. Over doing it is easy and if you use all three that is definately way over doing it. Keep it clean but don't slow the healing process because you played with it so much. Depending on how long ago you got it you shouldn't need the normally cheesy aftercare solution. So I'd say cut that out, use the new product, H2Ocean and keep up the sea salt soak. Sounds to be healing well so far.
No you aren't supposed to use Neosporn or anything right ON the piercing but from personal experience in the few days after while the piercing is sore a little bit (barely any!) on the skin that is tender helps with the swelling. Not on the holes, just the skin that is not touching the jewelry.

I'm guessing this is about your rook.
I cleaned mine morning and night and would check on it midway through the day and make sure it wasn't crusty. If it was, I sprayed on some sea salt solution and wiped with a q-tip and went on my way. I soaked mine every day for the first week, then every other day or every two days after that.
While sea salt isn't harmful and generally can't cause problems, the over cleaning isn't good. Only clean it 2-3 times a day total (4 at the very very most depending on the piercing and hygiene situation)

I have had my nipples, clit and belly button pierced for over 5 years. The only thing you should ever use on piercings is just soaking them twice a day for about ten minutes in a mixture of warm water and sea salt. DO NOT use any type of neosporin or polysporin cream. While the piercing is wet make sure to move the ring/bar back and forth to keep it from "Sticking" Good luck and enjoy!!!

Hey hon. You are overdoing it a bit especially with the actual soaking.
I would suggest spraying your ear with the H2Ocean about 3-4 times a day and only do the actual soak 3-4 times a week.
I'm glad that you're trying to take care of your new piercing but too much salt can actually do more harm than good!
As always, feel free to message me.

I would only clean it 2 to 3 times a day. If you over clean it, it could dry out and become hard to heal.
Did it hurt when you got that pierced? I want it done but some of my friends said it's not worth it.

yes its over doing it which can cause infection your piercing needs to heal like your ears did so lay off all the cleaning use alcohol to clean the post of ring and then apply it to your ears and use a cream neospryin and only do this for about 3 days it should befine to leave alone after that
