What does it mean when a guy says that a girl is damaged goods. Especially if she has been married before?

Many men think that a woman who has been married before brings extra baggage into a new marriage. Sometime she brings children, or attitude or bad experiences. Men are vain and they like to consider their world as the only reality that is important. Men don't want to consider that their wife actually had sex and intimate relations with another man. The result is that they call these women "damaged goods".

I would assume he is implying that a man has hurt her really bad and she just wont get over it. She takes it out on any man who come into her life after she has been hurt. Being hurt is all she talks about. She lives her life in fear of being hurt, yet again. To me, that's a damaged good.

That means she has some emotional garbage she is carrying from a previous relationship. And.. if you get involved with her, you will be dealing with her previous relationship's emotional trash which she will put on you, instead of you getting to know her.
