Seriously, take your dog to the vet. They will give you medicine. You will put it in the dog's ears a couple times a day. The ear infection will go away. How would you like it if someone poured witch hazel into your ears?

The best way to treat an ear infection is to actually go to the vet and have it diagnosed instead of guessing. That way you can recieve the proper medication as well as instructions to the infection and treat it correctly.
Please do not be cheap, it's your dog's health. Good Luck.

My dog has chronic ear infections from his allergies. I have in on shots now, so they are getting better, but he still breaks out. You need to take the do to the vet, because there are different types of infection, yeast, bacteria, ect. You could go to the pet supply store and pick up an ear cleaning kit in the meantime, but you need to get the pup in to the doctor to really help.

Take the dog to the vet so you can get the proper medication. This way too the vet can properly clean the ears and tell you how to do this at home with an ear cleaner the vet can provide. I hear of different home remedies all the time but I'm very skeptical of them unless a vet told me about it. Hope this helped.

DO NOT SELF MEDICATE!!! by doing so you can do serious harm. The only correct treatment is one prescribed by a vet AFTER he has made a diagnosis as to what type of infection and the cause that he is dealing with.

The best way to treat an ear problem in your dog would be to have your vet diagnos and treat his ears properly. I would strongly recommend against applying witch hazel to your dogs ears. Please take your dog to his vet and have it treated properly!

my dog had ear mites and i took him to the vet they gave me this very toxic stuff i say toxic because thay say not to get it on your skin and when it's all gone to call the vet to pick it up you can't even dispose of it on your own so to me it's toxic anyway i wouldn't just put anything in my dogs ear without professional authorization so try taking or even calling the vet to ask them
