It seems to me that if we presented them with the bills accumulated by their citizens that they would take more of an active part in curtailing so much illegal immigration of their citizens. They should fund the building of any walls that go up on the border. Why don't we just absorb Mexico as part of our country?Either that or put heat on the Mexican Government to do better by their people.Would it have been better to fight for Democracy and human rights for the Mexican citizens rather that Iraq?I think it might be so.

I want to state that I have no hatred for the Mexican illegals. They are victims of a corrupt government the same as many other countries. Why should anyone have to risk their lives to make a living for their families? How sad to have to work like a dog with little to no chance for advancement for people who seemingly have little respect for you.It is an intolerable situation for them and for us. We do need to secure our borders because of terrorist activity. I know the Mexican Government is corrupt and alot of money is exchanged under their tables of deceit. To Keengrrl:No race should ever be condemned to erradication. We need to write our senators and representatives and demand fair and equitable solutions for this costly and degrading situation.

Why should Mexico worry about something that will never happen?
Why should Mexico reform any of its policies or change how it treats its citizens while the USA is picking up the slack?
Even Hollywood --Actress Susan Sarandon has urged the US to invest money into building schools in Mexico rather than erecting barriers on the boundary. Does she tell Mexico to build schools? No - it is the United States job to educate Mexican citizens.
Mexico is the world’s tenth largest economy, and is a pivotal contributor to prosperity and stability in the Western Hemisphere. The USAID Program: USAID plans to spend $33 million in programs in 2004, many of which reinforce President Fox’s reforms. Included in USAID’s work in Mexico are programs to prevent and control infectious diseases (such as tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS), form partnerships between U.S. and Mexican higher education institutions, improve management of natural resources, and broaden access to financial opportunities. In addition, USAID collaborates with the Mexican government to achieve higher standards on accountability and openness.

First off not all illegal Immigrants are Mexicans stupid.
Should the Native Americans bill Anglo Americans for stealing there land and massacring there people?
Should the Africans who were enslaved and made to work for free for hundreds of years and some beaten and killed also bill you? I am just wondering. I am thinking that those 2 bills are going to be very and I mean very big compared to the measly taxes you pay today. Wow what a burden educating a human being.
You probably don't even pay taxes and the sad part is you complain. Maybe Corporations and Wealthy Americans need to stop ripping of the U.S by using tax loop holes that cost the U.S 1 Trillion over a decade by storing there money overseas in tax friendly countries. Maybe corporations should raise the minimum wage so Americans can actually get decent paying jobs and hire U.S citizens first. You must pay them first a living wage. This won't happen because Corporations and Wealthy Americans only care about getting rich and the Republicans will continue to fight for a low minimum wage and replace Americans with Immigrants then they can use the Immigrants as the scapegoat.

Illegal immigrants drive down wages for people here legally, including Latinos who are citizens of the U.S. Why should a million or billion dollar a year corporation pay employees more than minimum wage if they can hire illegals to do the job for less. We in the United States come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. EVERYONE should make a 'living wage' and receive benefits from their employers. Illegal immigrants have it bad. They have to live in the shadows, work long hours, and not complain when they are treated unfairly. Undocumented immigrant minors have been found working longer hours with no breaks than child labor laws permit. That is fundamentally un-American.

Some towns and cities are already sending bills to the foreign governments for medical care and education. I don't want to absorb Mexico. We don't need to bring any more corruption into the USA.
How about if we have our government intercept all those payments going to Mexico and other countries by the people who claim they are taking jobs American Citizens don't want? How about if we register every dime that goes out of the country, who sends it and if they haven't filed a tax return, we confiscate every dime?

Our government does'nt care about those loses. They are loses to us, not to the government. Fancy dancy Nancy Pelosi, uses illegals in her businesses that make her a wealthy woman that can become Speaker of the House. She and her friends want those illegal for profit. She also wants them voting for her when the time comes. America will be skewed good by this lady. Watch it happen.
Don't worry about us putzing with Mexico. We need their cheap, hard working poor people to make our wealthy more wealthy and to ruin the middle class Americans. Few care about the middle or the poor.
Mexican illegals don't want to be here legally. They will have to obey the law along with the res of us. Pay taxes and behave.
The rich folks don't want em' legal either. When they come here illegal, they work cheap, don't complain ...and ruin the neighborhoods they live in for the rest of us. None of this will change anytime soon. Watch the foot dragging by our reps and governement on this issue.

Smart! The problem is the Mexican government makes too much money off the illegal immigration issue. Mexican's send 24 billion dollars of our money back to Mexico, and that is the second biggest money maker they have after gulf oil. It's why the Mexican government is really behind this issue, they have too many people and not enough jobs. I doubt their government would pay your bill.

That would be defeating the purpose of the Mexican government.I agree with you on the fighting for human rights of Mexicans.
I believe you are the first person that has used those 2 words on this site,'human rights'.
Mexico is in the top 10 richest countries inthe world. I have read about it in at least 3 articles.
NC,good points. Not many people like to say what you did.

What used to be our government is owned by the economic traitors who send our jobs to Mexico and make trade deals with the Mexican regime, which demands that the pre-owned U.S. (not for US at all) government and the head of INS go light on illegals. All immigration, whether legal or illegal, is based on anti-American trade deals. Don't listen to the phony Republican talk-show nannies and their outrage over immigration--that's just to make you think they care, when all they care about is what they get paid for their charade by the very people who make these trade deals. All their yakking and nothing effective gets done, because their goal is to keep real patriots from taking the law back into our own hands.

Because the Mexicans will not pay it. If we slammed the border shut and took those 20,000 troops scheduled for Iraq and posted them on the border, then i think that we might get Mexico City's attention.

Its interesting because Fox actually wrote a pamphlet about how to come to America ILLEGALLY while he was president of Mexico. Heck, even thier leaders are wanting better lives for them, even if it means risking their lives and never being legal :( Sad
