Evolution is the natural progression of organisms over time. It's a fact. God set evolution into motion along with gravity, attraction and all the other laws of nature.

Man however did not evolve from apes, or apes wouldn't still be around. That would contradict evolution.

silly question because if evolution were the truth (and it is not)
then GOD would not be needed/necessary/possible.
why must ppl fight so hard against Divine Creation? why would you even want to be some accident of nature rather than created by GOD for a propose that is higher than anything man can come up with on his own?

I was all ready to answer the first question, and was pleasantly surprised to find the additional one. Funny!

To the first: if you can believe in something of which no one has any proof, exists by definition outside of our comprehension, and has no basis in reality--then anything is possible to you!

To the second: for some, it makes their "god of gaps" even smaller. Many theists nowadays justify holding onto the creation idea, while accepting evolution. They accept everything within reality, but can't fight off the residue of their childhood brainwashing.

Oh God could make evolution happen if he wanted - but the problem is so can science and science is tough to learn and understand unlike the bible so fewer people listen to it.

Its easy to make up an imaginary friend and give him infinite power - then you say my friend Mungo (for example) could do anything but wants me to learn from my mistakes, exercise free will - when i need him he doesnt interfere because he works in mysterious ways and when someone says Mungo doesnt exist they have the evil Boogora in their hearts - OR it is Mungo testing my faith.

Because He IS God, that's why--and have you ever heard of "theistic evolution," which posits that God intervened at certain points of the process?

Its a nice way of rationalizing failure.
If you succeedGod was on your side.
If you fail, its because you did something to not deserve God's help. Its not like anyone is going to take the blame for their own failure. Blaming a metaphysical omnipotent super being is a good way to excuse being a screw-up.

Because that would mean that there is no creator and in order for the god theory to exist it is essential for there to be an omnipotent designer of this world.

It is interesting how much proof someone demands in something (albeit with a blatant intention of encoring any you present), but requires no proof to believe that a virgin gave birth to god.

Good point.

but without God everything, including evolution, is definitely possible.

Anything isn't actually possible. If it were, then it is also possible that God doesn't exist. Besides, everything is possible, but a few things are probable.
