Don't they know that science is the ONLY way to determine facts?

Don't they know that the theory of evolution is STRONGLY supported by science?

Don't they know that logic is essential to the scientific method as well as inductive studies like the theory of evolution and the cell theory? Religion is illogical becuase it avoids the use of logic!

If you disagree that religion is illogical the show me, give a detailed argument. Otherwise don't waste my time.

And if you tell me I'm stupid because of my typo then you are merely showing your own ignorance as well as how hypocritical you are.

God created everything we know, so He is science.

I love science and I'm a Christian. So is Dr. Stephen Hawkins...and they don't get more scientific than him.

No. Religious people can have faith only in God. However, an intelligent religious person will also BELIEVE that science has it's place

Where scientific matters are mentioned in the Bible, they are in complete agreement.

You'd like specifics:

Before space exploration, at a time when people believed that the earth was flat and being held up on the shoulders of atlas who was standing on the back of a turtle which was standing on an elephant (or something like that), the prophet Isaiah wrote at
Isaiah 40:22 that "there is one who is dwelling above the CIRCLE of the earth" Job 26:7 tells us that God is "stretching out the north over the empty place, hanging the earth upon nothing." Even if you subscribe to the belief that the bible books were written later than Christians want to believe, it cannot be disputed that they were written long before any of this was confirmed by space exploration etc.

Question for you! Why do you assume all Christians are ignorant and hypocritical?

Actually we do trust in Science. There are thousands of Christian scientists out there that have data that shows proof of a young earth. I believe it takes more faith to believe in evolution than creationism. It is really hard to believe that we all just resulted from chance or some random act. Life is too complicated and intricate in it's workings to believe it was the result from chaosis. For me the answer has to have an author or designer.

You may not know but many scientists have come to beleive in God as a result of their studies.

Also history lines up with the Bible. Not one thing has ever been proven false in it's teachings and the hundreds of prophecies alone from the Old Testiment that have all come true speak for it's validity.

So I believe the Bible to be true and all that is in it. My decision wasn't blind faith. I looked at history and since have heard scientific arguments that support the Bible.

Many websites will offer all the details showing the science that supports the Bible.

It's a good question but I think the answer varies. I guess it has always been a tradition to not have science and religion to conjoint otherwise there would just be too much dilemma. Maybe religious people think that God was the one who mapped out the world of this sociocultural phenomenon so they probably don't think it's necessary to have scientific researches since everything comes from a natural cause and those are the facts for the religious people.

1. True science is the ONLY---not pseudo sciences
2. Many renoun scientist do not back back evolution , even slightly.
3. Evolution has never passed the full test of Scientific Method
4. Many cell theories have passed S.M.
5. Logic or reason is clearly emphasized through out the Bible(false religious doctrines as well as false sciences doctrines leave no room for reason)

True science and Bibles reference to science & history have both the same kind of "FaITH"--because the Bibles faith is not credulity or blind faith--as religions have propagated

This is how faith is defined in the Scriptures & is totally in agreement with 'SCIENTIFIC FAITH'

(Hebrews 11:1) 11 Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld"(please note "assured", evident.......realities... though not beheld--my comment)
* Footnote ***
“Evident demonstration.” Or, “convincing evidence.” Gr., e´leg·khos; Lat., ar·gu·men´tum. Compare Joh 16:8 ftn.

Are there not"evident demonstrations" of gravity, enertia, ionization, the oxogen & carbondioxide exchange in the blood stream of human body?--We simply believe that those things are working & functioning by the results we see not by seeing these invisible powers. Thus a simple Bible text that agrees with the conclusion that invisible energies DO indeed exist:

(Hebrews 3:4) 4 Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things is God.

--True science defines whether the scientific hypothosis is true or false by the 4 major steps of the "Scientific Method"

1.State the problem 0r theory
2. Form a Hypothesis--(possible solution to problem, research etc.)
3. Test the Hypothesis An experiment is formed to test out
4. Draw Conclusions After examining the data or fact then one
determines if the hypothesis is correct or not.

Evolution has NEVER passed these four simple steps, thus it continues to be a theory just in modern times for about a century!

Please note:
*** g74 9/22 p. 18 Do I Have to Believe Evolution? ***

“Theodosius Dobzhansky [an evolutionary scientist] says that much of the work of scientists is beyond the comprehension of average laymen, but that evolution is not. He says it’s a matter of elementary biology. And George Gaylord Simpson [another prominent evolutionist] contents that it’s immoral to have blind faith, whether in a religious doctrine or in a scientific theory. He also says that it’s man’s responsibility to test the findings of specialists and then decide, and that a person doesn’t have to be a research biologist to evaluate the evidence on evolution.”

....to be continued!

I believe as a Christian I can have a certain amount of faith in science as well as in the God that created all thing. When I am sick I pray that God would heal me. Sometimes the healing will be through the benefits of a physician (science) sometimes through a good nights sleep (peace from God) The answers that God provides are not always miraculous. However, not everything that God does or has done can be explained through science. What would be a miracle is if scientists would look at science with God instead of without Him.
I believe that religion is "illogical" in the sense that most religion is man made because man does not wish to follow the rules that God set in place when He created the universe. As a Christian I am not as interested in my "religion" as I am my personal relationship with Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. God does not call us to be religious except in the truest definition of the word which is to be fervent for what you are involved in. You can be religious about exercise, video games, or your bubble gum collection.

LOL,,that's funny.
Science and religion go hand in hand. Science is the proof of a God. The problem with science is that in the 1400's they were sure of their science also. Science is still an infant and really doesn't have a clue as yet. It's getting better though.
Once science can admit that "something" had to "create" the material and then start the "big Bang" then maybe we can move forward.

Its very simple Science changes, with discoveries. Forexample earth was considered Flat plate for greeks similarlly there are lot of examples where science has changed its statment. Darvin, even this day has been proved wrong. But riligon stands firm on its statemen. Interesting thing is very often we have understood the true meaning of a riligious staement, by some discovery of Science.

I have religious friends who are very scientific minded and believe in the theory of evolution. I am an atheist myself. And I realize that many people do not see the world the way I do. I am not the center of the universe after all. Nor do I expect to convert them to my way of thinking. That task is rather ambitious and exhausting. Don't you think?

Hmm you claim to be so smart and above everyone

Let me ask you this, have you looked into Islam?
Have you seen how many scientific break through Islamic scholar had

Fields such as astronomy, medical, chemistry, geometry and so much more are first discovered by them.

These are respected Islamic individuals of that time, whom have faith in god and wanted to know how god creation work.

To me you are the illogical person here, by making accusation without fully looking at all the facts.

Science IS your religion. Face it, religion tells you where you came from, why you are here, what will happen to you when you die, and how you should behave while you are alive. It usually has a entity you look up to as the one who instituted this religion and who has the say in how it should be practiced. If you look at the characteristics of religion, you will find that science has attributes that fit all of them. Hence, science is a religion. And may I add, it is the only religion that is endorsed and has it's practice mandated by the US government.
