You can get it changed to 4 years if you want.

In my opinion its smarter to do 4 years.
Why
To see if you like it, if you dont well you'll be out 2 years earlier.
Most Tech schools you will be E-3 by the time u get out of training or a few months from it.
Reenlistment bonuses are alot higher than your initial enlistment bonus is. So you will kinda cheat your self later if you like the military and decide to reenlist.

I agree get a job that you will be able to use on the outside. I was a 2E6x3 Telephone Systems Journeyman. Im doin great know that Im out and plus thats a short maned career field so they are always needed some.

They got me with the 6 year enlistment.
I didn't like it but it did me good, glad Im a civilian now.

Yes you made the right choice think about it when you graduate high school and go for a bachelors you'll be 22 when you get out of the Air Force you'll be 24 but with much more to show for and more experience...My advise is try to get a job that'll help you out in the civilian life (if you don't plan a career in the USAF)...no more stupid customers you're set....Good Luck

That isnt the best of reasons...as the Military is a serious commitment.
I would study hard and get a good career in your sights.or think about 20+ in the Air Force.

right here is the deal...a female pal or spouse of a serviceman desires to be a definite man or woman. if your love is unconditional there does not be a project with the area. a great deal of compassion and understanding is going right into a classic dating. much extra is going right into an prolonged distance dating. in case you think of you have those traits then you truly truly might desire to be proud that your boyfriend desires to serve his united states and supply him your approval. in any different case, end the dating and circulate onto somebody who can get excitement from your selfishness.

well, lesson learned for you. Always reenlist for the shortest amount of time, for the first three enlistments you qualify for enlistment bonuses.
