I ditched cable, so I am looking for something better. Who has better prices? Better service? Better channels?

Cable is really socking it to it's customers right now-one company's accountiing dept. is so screwed up, every person I know has mistakes on their bill and rates going up.

I'd say clearly DISH cause:

- cheaper
- better packages
- more variety on channels
- good picture quality

You might check out http://www.dishnetworkbargains.net - They currently run some free promo or something. They are very professional and can recommend them.

Best wishes
Mike

We have DirecTV, but they're rates have gone up - almost $60.00 a month here and we don't even have any of the extras - just our local channels and the basic channels. We're going to look into Dish Network to see if their rates are cheaper. We get lots of channels, but again, the rates are a bit high. Cable's been history for us for years now - lol.

We have Dish I like it better. If you look at the different packages on both Dish has like 6 more channels in the higher 2 priced packages like Military channel, National Geo. Discovery Times and like 3 more. So if you are interested in those channel I would go with Dish if not Direct. We have never had any problems with them.

DirecTv has the better programming and quality, but beware when you sign up for DirecTV, you will have to choose between a free DVR or a free HD tuner. If they are both important to you, there will be a charge for the upgrade.

I read the Dish network has an offer where you can get both for free, but you must subscribe to a certain level of programming.

Good Luck!

It relies upon on what you desire. Neither dish nor Directv have a lag in the back of cable except the published is hd. Directv has the suitable activities programs (nfl sunday fee ticket, mlb greater beneficial innings and so on) Dish community is often no longer as good as Directv common. in case you desire cable look into Comcast for the On-call for. often they bury the wires in the partitions even from exterior in spite of if it is going to count number on the apartment. additionally the 5 lnb satellites are amazing. bypass with Directv

I have Direct tv and it's not bad, But I don't think it matters which you choose, because they are now affiliated. Pay attention to the cost of supposed "free" extras. Trust me, nothing in life is free. Your bill will end up crazy. Tell them to keep it basic and you should be fine.
