Well it depends, do you want to be in a committed relationship with him? If so, then you need to tell him you deserve more then someone who is just "thinking about you", you deserve to have someone who wants to commit to you and if he can't then you have to move on.

If you don't care if you are in a committed relationship, then you should do what makes you happy, and if you enjoy the relationship you have with him, then you don't have any problems. Although, if you still want more from him, then you need to talk to him, it's the only way you'll get what you want.

what kind of commitment are you looking for? Exclusivity or what? he may really just be thinking about you girl! Or perhaps he knows how to say what you like to hear in order to keep you around without giving you that commitment you're looking for. at the end of the day - if you're looking for more than what he's willing to give right now, you should probably move on. And if he really wants you ... then he'll rethink his decision about committing to you. Good Luck honey!

What's the problem? You want a commitment from him? If you have told him how you feel about being serious and he will not commit, it means that the relationship isn't at that level, or he doesn't want to be tied down. You need to air your intentions to him, and explain what direction you want the relationship to go. As always, communication is the key.

If someone doesnt want to commit to you, ask yourself do you really want to be with someone who isnt sure of themselves and their commitment to you? Dont hint, dont hide, talk to them and if you arent ready then hear them out. Commitment requires communication and understanding, make sure both of you get on the same page .

How can you be dating someone for a year and not have a commitment? If he doesn't want to commit after a year, he doesn't want to be with you. sorry.

Rofl tell him you get plenty of emails from others that are thinking of you why should his be different lol. Then say that the way it is going you can not see a difference you know what you want but does he? Get him thinking. If that don't shake him up tell him good bye.

Well, tell him to act more and write less.
A man who talks too much is not to be trusted - he is not a real man. A man should DO more and talk less.

However, it is nice that he is thinking about you. Don't press him. No hurries. It should come naturally that he commits.
One year may be too short to make a decision.
Do you know that song:

"Can't hurry love, love...
etc."
by Phil Collins

I recommend you sit down and listen to it. :-)
