it has a grater and the bottom is a plastic container with a lid so you can store any excess cheese you have

i individually love the Microplane style. you will get it on Amazon, at William Sonoma, although some say that William Sonoma provides them in a greater acceptable value. Microplane is astounding! It grates like a md.
