I have a Buick Lasabre 1991, when I start it I here a clicking sound and the car will shut off, It will not stay started. can anyone help me whith an answer.

Bad fuel pump.
Or plugged fuel filter.

You dont say how long after the car is started it stays running so I'm going to make the assumption it quits running after you let go of the key.

Most likely cause of that is a ballast resistor, as the start position by passes the resistor in that position to give some extra juice to the coil, but once released it goes through the ballast resistor to prevent frying the coil.

As for the clicking sound upon starting, likely a weak or faulty starter relay, solinoid, or battery
