You could, if you have the tools required. The question is why would you? Don't you have someone to give assistance?

You will have to purchase a 'repair manual' for you specific year and model/make. They are usually available a auto parts supply store.

First, disconnect the positive cable from the battery.

Second, with the correct size socket attached to a breaker bar relief the tension and remove serpentine belt.

Third, again with correct socket and rachet (or combination wrench) remove the mounting bolts from idler.

Fourth, reverse steps to completion.

footnote................When re-installing belt make sure it is properly placed. Failure here will not only destory the belt but put undue stress on idler.

This could be a difficult job for you, depending on you mechanical skills. I would suggest a trip to your local library. Look for an automotive repair manual. There are any number of repair manuals that should give you an idea of how to go about the installation. Chilton is the first that comes to mind.

i own a repair shop,and you probably could do this,but you,ll need a good set of tools to work with,and keep in mind this thing isn't real easy to replace,,if you get it tore down,,and have to call someone to come out and repair it,,is going to cost you a lot more,so i think if i was in your situation,id call someone to do it,,it would be a lot better,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

youll need a basic socket set, its around wheel that the belt turns on to tension the belt. its only one bolt in the middle

please have somone with you if you atempt it on your own .auto zone.com could have diagrams to use or you can get a repair manual at any parts store ,if in stock.
