Sure. Depending upon what the truth is.

If "the truth" = "you will die by being crushed to death after watching your family murdered" then I would say its best not to know the truth.

Would ignorance be bliss if you were in a burning building but didn't smell the smoke? You'd want someone to warn you, to tell you the truth wouldn't you?
It's similar with the truth of the bible.
The truth is - that God's got a set time when he's going to end this system of things (the world conditions how they are today) & restore it to what he originally purposed for the earth.
Just because Adam & Eve (under Satan's direction) messed things up for mankind it doesn't mean that God is just going to leave us in this state. His purpose will be fufilled.
Isaiah 55:10,11
Only those who live up to his standards will survive into paradise (on earth) - Psalm 37:9-11
The scriptures reveal this truth.
The question is - do you prefer to be ignorant or is it important enough to examine the evidence for yourself?

The answer to your question is no
:)

Yes. Knowledge leads to change, which can be uncomfortable. Ignorance maintains the status quo which is familiar, even if miserable. People prefer the devil they know.

The question is, can one remain ignorant indefinitely? Eventually the truth emerges, the change is more dramatic and the adjustment is more agonizing. Some prefer to make the "bliss" last as long as they can, but they ultimately pay the price.

Yes, ignorance is bliss! Many people do not know how sorry and pathetic their lives are, because they're ignorant of the facts. Many people feel comfortable believing something loves them and protects them (whether Government or God) because it cares about their interests above its own. You can be ignorantly happy unless you realize there's a reason you shouldn't be.

I don't like accepting this concept but I can explain it this way.

If someone does not know of a bad thing they can go along with a happy heart because there is no threat to their peace of mind.

On the other hand, if someone should make them aware of a terrible situation that could cause them deep concern or fear, then the entire scenario changes. In short, that person's peace is shattered and they become very unhappy.

None of us really know the truth (at least not all of it). And many of us are happy. However, I think that perfect joy can only be achieved with perfect knowledge. This is not something that one can achieve during this mortal life IMO.

It can be. It depends allot on the person's personallity. Some want to learn more and no the REAL truth behind things. Others do not care.

Yes. None of us will ever know the ultimate truth till we die, we've just got to live with that fact.

Everyone wants to know the truth don't they? It's recognising the truth when they see it that's the problem

The surest sign of a fool is the insistence that ignorance can ever by anything other than what it is: pure folly.
