The bag appeared on my doorstep in the dead of night.

Take the bag inside, let the cats out, and call animal control to come get them. You obviously shouldn't keep them!

Someone did that to me 20 years ago. I couldnt take it anymore.
I brought the cat in- cornered off an area- fed it and put a box with a bit of cat litter i got from a neighbor for it. I watched it to ensure it wasnt rabid or anything.

I had to make the decision at that point did I want to keep it as it was a grown cat- or take it to the humane society. I chose to keep it.

We named her Mable and she is 20 and still kicking!

Take it to a humane society though if you decide not to keep them. Dont let them starve or dehydrate to death.

Put the bag in your car and drive to your local animal shelter and give the bag to them. They might even let you keep the bag for your trouble.

OR, instead of letting them loose THAN calling animal control...call animal control first and let them take them out of the bag...Or take them to the local animal center...if this is even a real question.

Don't open the bag. They probably are all rabid, which is why somebody dumped them. Don't let the cats out of the bag. Leave it for animal control. Remember, curiosity killed the cat!

A good thing to do is take it to the nearest vet. They can get them adopted and won't put them down.
