my sanyo television goes to standby when i switch the television on

mines does this 2 i have grundig tho but anyhoo wot i do is the programme button on my tv i press the + 1 that should tke it straight 2 ur channel if u were looking for a solution to ur problem soz i could,nt help (but here i cant be brilliant all the time)

its maybe because you turn the power off while its on standby and so when you turn it on it goes straight to standby again, mine does this and you need to turn it off by the button, not the remote !.
But my second TV does that all the time so maybe some TVs go straight to standby automatically ??.

Provided it comes on when you hit a channel button it comes on properly don't worry.TVs wake up in the same mode they go to sleep in or get turned off in.
