I recently asked this woman out at the bar, we are the same age and such. A week later after one date I found out she is my step aunt... we decided to go on a second date but it was awkward. I spilled some wine on my shirt, my GOOD shirt.. and had to go home quickly to remove the stains.. she thought I spilled the wine on purpose to leave because the date was going bad.
I'll show her the worse date EVER!! Where do I take her and what do I do??!?

If you are uncomfortable, don't see her again. There is no reason not to date if you like one another. She is not a blood relative. Grow up...you spilled your friggin wine. It happens! Why would you want to take someone out as punishment for something like that.

Step aunt? So she is the sister of your stepfather or your stepmother? Perfectly legal dude. I say go for it and a split second before you climax look into her eyes and say "thanks Auntie..you're the best!" Then stop seeing her cause despite the fact your odd relationship is techincally incest free and 100% legal it's still weird and would be very awkward if your family found out. Stick to your step cousins.

Sweetie - it sounds like she is related by marriage? If she is not blood related to you (is her parent married to your grandparent or something) then I wouldn't worry about her being your "aunt". If you really like her, let her know and be good friends. Just tell her you were nervous because you like her and you bumbled it up and would like another chance. If you don't like her, then it would be best to move on - you wouldn't want any bad behavior getting back to your parents.
Amazing that you hadn't known each other before...
I once dated a step cousin of mine - we had known each other from childhood and met up as adults. We are not blood related. It was great while it lasted, and I believe we are soul mates of sorts, but it wasn't destined to be. I felt a bit awkward around family who had known us forever, but once it was over - everyone forgot about it and we both moved on. He is back to being my cousin and all is ok...
