I mean- my boyfriend is allergic to eggs and the recipe I have uses egg noodles, can I use another kind?

I did a little research -- I don't know if you'd want to make them yourself, but these recipes look good and fairly simple.
No eggs.

Yes. Most packaged noodles ARE egg noodles.

yes, you sure can. You may have to adjust the cooking time slightly as some noodles take longer to cook than others. But your recipe should turn out just fine.

i would use fettuccine or a broader flat pasta. not all packaged noodles are egg noodles

Read the contents of the packet you might get quite a surprise to find there is little or no difference in the content.

Such as rice noodles?? Yup you sure can, but make your sauce thicker so it adheres to the pasta better.

Yes, you can. Good substitutes for similarity would be linguine, fettuccine, other ribbon pastas.
