I think you should try to stray away fromt the big chains and Disney-area restaurants because they are expensive and not good. I'll give you some great options that are different.
Todd English / Bluezoo - If you have to do Disney this is a great restaurant. Lots of Seafood and interesting dishes.
Emerils - If you have to do Universal this is tops. Lots of seafood too.
Boheme at Grand Bohemian Hotel - Located in downtown Orlando, this restaurant has beautiful artwork and a great wine collection.
Del Friscos - The best steaks in Orlando without a doubt!
Morton's of Chicago - another nice choice for steaks.
Normans at The Ritz Carlton - Latin and European fusion....fine dining and spectacular.
The Beacon - great cocktails, chic envrionment in downtown orlando.
Fifi's Patisserie - Downtown bistro with spectacular foods and desserts.
Dexters of Thornton Park - laid back with great pastas and salads.
Too Jays - Local chain of upscale delis....food is spectacular but it's not an ideal place to take someone for an evening out.
Hope this helps and hope you have a great time with your sister!

Maybe if you want something a little different you can try the Kobe Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar on international Drive. There are three of them in Orlando. The food is really good and they make it right in font of you at your table. They do cool tricks and stuff, and they never even dropped the food! Olive Garden and th e Cheesecake Factory are good choices too.

one in all my famous eating places in the Orlando section is in the Mall of Millena referred to as Brio. it truly is off of I-4. it truly is an Italian eating position and the nutrition is tremendous. We were going to bypass there some weeks in the past after we were in Orlando, and on a Sunday afternoon (3:00) there became a 40 minute wait. there is also a Cheesecake production unit ideal for the era of from Brio. Their menu is enormous. someone reported Giordano's on 192. i visit agree they have the perfect pizza. it truly is Chicago form, yet you could order usual pizza too. The Chicago form takes about 0.5-hour to practice dinner, besides the undeniable fact that it truly is properly truthfully worth the wait.

Bahama Breeze on International Drive was my favourite when I lived in Orlando. There's also Mikado's or Ristorante Tuscany at the Orlando World Center Marriott which are great.

Key W. Kools in Kissimmee next to Disney is a GREAT place for steaks and gator bites.
Season's 52 is THE best- very fresh, nice manageable portions, great service but expensive
Pacino's in Kissimmee- AWESOME italian food
And hey- don't give up on McDonalds- we have McDonald Bistro's here- very upscale food- you can order true gourmet sandwhiches like chicken spinach panninis and grilled veggie wraps and still get fries with that. It's worth checking out while you are here.
The Melting Pot- great fondue but again expensive
Bahama Breeze- though a small national chain- very good carribean twist on standards
What time and where am I meeting you? LOL

If you want fancy restaurants and very good ones, a area called "Dr. Phillips" has very good ones. It is on Sand Lake Road and the corner of Dr. Phillips Blvd. Just to name a few: Season's 52, Ruth Chris, Christine's (fantastic Italian), Amura (very good sushi house), and so many others. I am sure if you can go to that area you will find very good restaurants for any taste. Hope that helps.
