why does it sound so weird to me when my 34-year-old bf(im 22) told me that he "thinks" hes falling in love with me in a text msg yesterday after we've been going out for 3 months...

i dont even know how to reply...

Its just easier to say, I think I'm falling in love, or I think I've fallen in love with you then to come straight out and say I love you, when you don't know if the person feels the same way.

It means he's started to have you on his mind constantly. He's mind is starting to fill up with your presences; how you smile, how you act, how you talk, how you do that little things that you do... etc.

In other words, he's feeling the effect of being in love, or inflatulated, overwhelming feelings about you.

He may not feel that strongly with you when you guys first gone out, but he's definitely feeling strongly now. You can say he's a late bloomer, in a sense...

So its a good thing if you feel the same way about him, so smile a bit, do your happy dance or whatever that you do~ ^o^

It means he has really strong feelings for you! Why do you think this is weird? He may have said it in a txt message b/c he feared how you would react if he said it to your face! If you feel strongly about him, that's cool, but if you don't that could possibly be why you think it's WEIRD!!

Im not so sure I understand the in love? not yet? or "u wanna join me"? part
If you are feeling the same way tell him. Or you could even send him a txt yourself.
However, if you think it sounds weird, maybe you just aren't that into him...i dunno know!!

Sounds like he's afraid that you're not in the same place as he is. Guys will do anything to avoid embarrassment in the beginning of relationships. I think you need to talk to your boyfriend and clarify what he means. Also let him know where you are in the relationship. Everyone's definition of "falling in love" is going to be different. So you need to talk to him because his opinion of what the definition of it is, is the only correct answer.

falling in love with you means that he doesn't know the real you well enough to be in love with the real you. falling in love is a process that happens before actual love. i'm a little suprised though he texted it to you instead of telling it to you in person. a good way to respond to that would be me too but if you don't know if you're falling in love with him also you wouldn't really wanna lie either. i might just send him something like "smiles" or something like that because that lets him know that makes you happy but also you don't know if you're falling for him yet.

it means he thinks it's love.

this is a happy problem for you, because while he's undecided, he's also taking the term "love" very seriously, and when he finally admits to it, you'll know he's really sure and he really means it.

Fret not, my dear, you're almost there.
