This is a form of harrassment in the workplace (anything which creates an uncomfortable or hostile working environment). Report it to your human resources department immediately. You can also sue her personally & your company if they don't take the madatory course of action. Can you go to your boss? Maybe he can get her to stop. If not...then I would tell your x-sis-in-law to stop or you will sue her for slander. And then follow through with it...don't make idle threats.

File a complaint with HR. They need to put a stop to it. Do NOT let her run you out. If she continues after being warned by HR she can lose her job. Also, if you have kids with your Ex talk to him about this. Tell him unless it ends that you will have to go to your boss and lodge a complaint. He needs to talk to his sister about not being nasty...especially if you have kids together.

Like my mom always says " you show who you are with actions not words". Dont get worked up, in the long run they will see who is who. Remember talk is cheap, just maintain your dignity and dont stoop to her level. She could be a jealous person.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. People are pretty smart and they can see things with their own eyes. If she is the kind of person who always gossips, people will know to take her comments with a grain of salt. In the meantime, just keep being nice to people and doing your job, and people will realize that the rumors aren't true. If you have a big problem with the situation it might be time to look for another job.

Handle yourself w/ grace and dignity. It makes her look like white trash. People are pretty intelligent. The people whose opinion you'll respect will be the ones not to listen to the nonesense. The others that are waiting w/ baited breath to devour the gossip will be the ones that will show you their character is one that you should not be involved with.
