Are you looking for a play dough product that you can eat, or that is non-toxic and won't hurt the child if it is ingested? If it is the latter, here's a recipe you can use:
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
2 packages unsweetened Kool-Aid powdered drink mix
2 cups boiling water
3 tablespoons oil
Mix flour, salt, Kool-Aid and oil until blended.
Add boiling water, mix with spoon until cool enough to knead.
Continue kneading until color is blended.
Store in air tight bag or container in the refrigerator.
