the parameters to decide are stability, security and speed. i do not use the unnecessary tons of features which each one of them provides, but even then which one of them is the best?

All as fast as IE - a little faster perhaps they have pop-up blocking.
Some support mouse gestures.
No specific instabilities known

General comparison 1.) and brief capabilties (he does not like IE:)

Security: as secure as Trident engine (IE) is. 2.)

Of the shells I would choose Maxton.
I do not have first hand experience with Slim.

Another interesting alternative that can be combined with Trident shells are standalone IE that are not so deeply rooted into system
and thus safer 3.). IE. 5.01 uses less resources. You could try to place shell in preferred IE folder - That should theoretically give usage of Trident version.

For speed use alternative browsers: currently Opera and K-Meleon are fastest on most systems and sites. 4.) Which browser
is individually fastest depends on pages visited and a lot of other params. So "most" may not apply to Your PC.

thx 4 reading my post.
