AT WHAT AGE DO YOU ALLOW YOUR PUPPY TO START HAVING RELATIONS WITH OTHER DOGS? I WAS TOLD THAT IF YOU DIDN'T LET YOUR DOG HAVE RELATIONS, THEIR BACK LEGS WILL START TO GIVE OUT WHEN THEY GET OLDER.

Relations, as in sex?? Um, not until you want her to have pups, or it's time to breed her. Letting her have pups at anytime is why we have so many homeless dogs!! She needs to be fixed before her first heat cycle, or after she comes out of heat. Keep her from getting preg, unless you're trying to breed her.
And about her legs giving out, whoever told you that is retarded!! A dogs legs give out, because they're old. Not because they haven't had sex! That has to be the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard, and trust me, I've heard some whoppers!!! One being, a dog cant' have water until they're 6 weeks old.

Playful wise, any age, anytime. Dogs need to be socialized. They are if they're with the liter, from birth. Social dogs are less agressive, and make better family dogs.

In fact, animals who do have relations may become anxious and extremely insistent about having orgasms after their first encounter.

Spay your dog.

Spondelitis is one of the back problems that affec the hind legs of a dog and the spine as well. Heridity is just one of the causes.

Don't ever smack or even pat hard on your dog's tail end, you could be doing damage that can not be reversed.

I've never heard of such a thing. Plus dogs only have "relations" to reproduce, not for pleasure. The only animals beside humans known to have "relations" for pleasure are dolphins and some primates. You should definitely socialize them with other dogs so they're more friendly, but as far as "relations" it's not necessary unless your breeding.

Whoever told you that is a moron! If your dog is not of breeding quality and does not have a solid pedigree, she should be spayed and NEVER "have relations" with another dog. It is safer for her and doesn't contribute to the pet overpopulation problem. Be a part of the solution not the problem.

If your pet IS of breeding quality (has been shown and deemed to meet the breed standard, has had health testing, is registered with AKC or other similar organization, has a known and solid pedigree, is up to date on vaccines and deworming, etc.) usually it is recommended to wait until they are at least 1 to 1 1/2 years old to breed. Just because they go into heat and are physically capable of bearing young doesn't mean they should.

You should socialize your dog with other animals as soon as you get them, as long as your puppy is up to date on their shots. That way they will not be agressive towards other animals, and it will be easier for yoy to walk the dog or take it to the vet.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Spay or neuter your pet by 6 months, there is no need to ever mate them. There has never been any studies proving that this is in anyway beneficial for them.

If a female is spayed before her first heat, her chance of getting ovarian cancer is drastically reduced. 60% of unnuetered males over the age of 5 have testicular cancer.
