I have an 11 year old step -daughter and she has a new boyfriend every other day and she breaks up with them cause they didn't write her a note that day, or open her locker. It's middle school, so if she wants to break up with him, why not!
Except, I think as a ma maybe you should step in and tell her maybe, worry about dance class or school work, or something! She shouldn't actually be concerned about the depth of this little relationship enough to ask a question on an advice website!

SHOULD SHE DUMP HER BOYFRIEND (???) COS HES TO SHY TO TALK TO HER? Wow am I buggin reading this or moms is asking that question. You should know better its not a boyfriend at all if he aint even talkin to her. Unless they jsut have sex on mute and now she want to dump him. What you need to do is whoop your daughters *** for even putting you through this because right now you look pretty stupid.

Its ok for 13 year olds to ask their own questions...
If the boy doesnt talk to her, then he really isnt her boyfriend anyways.

At 13 learning to communicatee with each other is hard enough but to communicat with the opposite sex is even harder. She probably should give it some time.... learning to understand the male is going to take a long time if not a lifetime. lol

Maybe she should just figure out why he's so shy. Figure out what's going on that makes him not talk to her so much.
But yes, if there is no communication, there isn't much of a relationship. If she can't bring him out of his shell and have him talk to her, she should find someone she can communicate with.

What is a thirteen years old child doing with a boyfriend. It's parents like you that don't have a problem with teenage pregnancy i can see.
Since it's o.k for her to have a boyfriend do you know what they do when you are not around. I hope you have talked to her about sex and its consequences.

Ive heard this one before...well think about it, do you like the person enough to want to stick with him? or is it another phase? if you want to stick with him then give him a chance to get used to you and like hang out more often and talk on the phone or something (trust me every little thing helps) then maybe he'll start to feel comfortable around you but if he doesnt change then talk to him about it maybe he'll give you an explanation
